Meet the Maker: Vis-usual Spin

As part of our “Meet the Makers” interview series, we asked our Makers to tell us a little about themselves. Today, meet Zeezee from Vis-usual Spin!

Vis-usual Spin1) Who are you and where do you come from?

I’m Zeezee Twentytwo; spraycan stencil and vinyl spinning artist. I come from Australia. Brighton has been my home for the past 6 years.

2) What do you do?

Put simply, I cut shapes into flat material and spray paint through the holes, which form images.

3) Do you have a website?

4) What will you have on your stall?

I present how to spray paint onto unwanted vinyl records, and then give my onlookers a go at doing the same, to take their experience home in the form of their own creation. I will also offer for sale, small stencil works and vinyl records that I have made myself; though these are just there to make my stall look good. The real action lies in the doing.

5) Are you running any workshops?

Yep. All day long, non stop. Stand in line and have a go.

6) Have you been to a Maker Faire before?

Yep; the Brighton Mini Maker Faire has hosted my stall for the past two years, 2013 and 2012.

7) Anything else you want to share?

Yes, my record spinning fun. Do come over and have a spin early in the day before we are all overrun!

Discounted advance tickets for Brighton Mini Maker Faire 2014 are now available!
